Around the wooden sticks ladies tie the thread 11 times and take that thread tying it 4 times in the round circle and leave it there. Then, water is spread all over around the circle and the cow dung garland is tied on the top of the Holika being prepared. The ladies put kumkum on their forehead as well as on the wooden sticks and the cow dung garland.
