Brenda Tracy was born in December 1973, she was 50 years of age and she previously survived a crucial gang rape by four college football players in 1998, she immediately filed an action against them but didn’t get justice due to no evidence found. She is a mother of 1 and she joined a spring game at Michigan State and was honored as a captain of the football team on the 16th April 2022. Tucker called Tracy in the early morning on the 28th April 2022 and he alleged her to have phone sex but she denied it.

She was feeling uncomfortable during the phone call and after the call ended she began crying. After three months of the incident, they both spoke again and Tracy expressed that Tucker canceled her selection with MSU on the 25th of July 2022, three days before the selection. An employee told her that due to a scheduling conflict, it was canceled. They both spoke on a call and Tracy stated that he accused her of gossiping about his marriage on the other side Tucker expressed to the investigators that she had already apologized for the mistake and he accepted it. They had not spoken to each other after that according to USA Today.
Complaint Filed against Mel Tucker
In Michigan State’s Title IX Office, Brenda Tracy filed a complaint against Mel Tucker in December 2022. The University has hired Attorney Rebecca Leitman Veidlinger to investigate the case. Rebecca Started her investigation in January 2023 and she had taken a statement of Tracy and six other people who were considered as witnesses by Tracy.
Tucker denies giving an interview until March 2023. Rebecca submitted the report on the 25th of July 2023 to check whether Tucker had violated the sexual harassment case or not. She expressed that both parties had deleted the text which they had sent to each other. Now the Hearing has been scheduled for the 5th and 6th of October 2023.

MSU suspended the head football coach on the 10th of September 2023 without pay. Teressa Woodruff who is the president of MSU Interim had suspended the coach at 5:00 Pm. On the 11th of September 2023, Mel Tucker denied the allegations of sexual harassment, stating that Tracy had complained of false allegations.

Later, Tucker expressed that he doesn’t want to address the character assassination of Tracy, he also said by defending himself that it was her motive to defame me and terminate my contract. He also explained that she changed the story of their relationship by destroying his professional status and reviving her career. On the 12th of September 2023 Tracy, Stated that Tucker was trying to delay the entire process of the investigation from the beginning.
