Maha Shivratri 2023 Puja Vidhi

- To start with the puja, one has to place the Shivling on the wooden platform which has to be covered with a white cloth.
- A fresh Diya with ghee has to be lightened to give a fresh start.
- Offer fresh water with some milk mixed in it to the Shivling and the other statues of God.
- Take some water in your right hand and drink it to get blessings.
- You need to put Janeu and Akshat to the Lord Shiva and then take some chandan paste in your hand and do tilak on Shivling.
- Offer some fresh white flowers and fruits and cover the shivling with it.
- Now take a bowl and add curd, milk, honey and other things you wish to add to make the holy water.
- You need to offer bhog to Shivji either of fruits or sweets.
- You need to now sing the arti and do parikrama.
